Bally
Bally was founded in 1851 in Schönenwerd, Switzerland, by brothers Carl Franz and Fritz Bally. Originally, the family business focused on manufacturing elastic ribbons. During a business trip to Paris, Carl Franz Bally was inspired by the quality and design of the footwear he encountered, leading him to expand into shoe production. The company diversified its product lines to include footwear for various occasions, including military boots during wartime. The collections further expanded to feature bags, other leather accessories, and ready-to-wear apparel. In the 1960s, Bally's technological innovations led to the development of new materials, including rubber components used in the boots worn by Neil Armstrong during the first human moonwalk.
